You're eating "clean" but the scale won't move—and hidden sugars in "healthy" snacks are probably why.
By Laura Carter – Health Report Daily

A small handful of raisins can pack as much sugar as a whole piece of fruit, hitting your bloodstream fast and driving up insulin.
I was doing everything "right." I ate salads. I skipped dessert. I drank my coffee black.
But I was stuck. I lost the first 20 pounds, but the last 8 pounds wouldn't budge.
It was infuriating. I honestly thought my metabolism was broken.
But it wasn't broken. It was just overwhelmed. I discovered I was accidentally sabotaging myself with "hidden sugars" all day long.
My Afternoon Snack, For Example...
I love peanuts and raisins. It feels like a healthy, natural snack, right? Nuts for protein. Raisins for a little sweetness.
But here's what I didn't realize... raisins are basically concentrated sugar bombs. Just a small handful has as much sugar as a whole serving of fruit. And because they're dried, they hit your bloodstream fast.
Every time I snacked on them, my blood sugar spiked. My insulin shot up. And my fat burning shut down.
I was doing this 2-3 times a day. So even though I was "eating clean," I was keeping my body in fat-storage mode from morning until night.
The Invisible Hand...
The raisins. The honey in my yogurt. The melon in my fruit cup. They were the invisible hand holding onto those last 8 pounds.
Honestly, I would have never figured this out on my own. I would have just kept "eating healthy" and getting frustrated.
Spot the Spikes...
Using a Continuous Glucose Monitor was the only way I could spot these invisible spikes.
It felt like turning on the lights in a dark room. Once I could see the spikes, the solution was obvious.
I swapped the raisins for almonds. The spikes stopped. The fat burning turned back on.
If you feel like you're doing everything right but the scale is stuck, you might just need to turn on the lights, too.
